What is project INCUS?

The INCUS project is a very precise high-end audio amplifier working in class Quasi-AB. The design solution is focused on very precise control of ground loops, selective high-quality filtering of supply circuits and precise end-blocks of the amplifier itself made of first-class components and materials.

The design of the INCUS audio amplifier is focused on a very compact and minimalist design with passive cooling and thoughtful ergonomics. The front panel of the INCUS amplifier will be made of precious wood. The front panel will be secured with neodymium magnets, and after its removal, the luxurious design of the amplifier will take on a touch of cool American steel.

The amplifier will be made of high-frequency connectors and robust flat braided shunts to power supply. Power supplies will be built from toroidal transformers and its filtration will be provided by capacitor polymer batteries with a dispersed battery of multiband ceramic capacitors.

The control electronics will selectively control the temperature, currents and signals of all power systems using a redundancy system. The control system will be made of discrete operational amplifiers, which will ensure reliable management of critical events. The system will be secondary managed by a TriloBITE 2560 PRO microcontroller.

  • Total Harmonic Distortion + Noise 0.03% over the audio spectrum 18Hz to 35,000Hz.
  • Signal-to-noise ratio of greater than 92dB with low noise floor of 2,0µV.
  • Linearity with and IMD (SMPTE) rating of 0,004%.
  • Ultra-low reverse impedance.
  • Output power of one monoblock: 136W@8ohm, 181W@6ohm, 272W@4ohm, 544W@2ohm.
